The Day of the Lord!

The Lord shall arise and shake terribly the earth. His fear shall be upon all when his glory shall suddenly arise; "And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day, Isaiah 2:17. WHAT ELSE WILL BE MADE LOW IN THAT DAY? Idolaters of course, they shall be humbled; the proud and haughty, all the mighty, every high tower, mountain and hill together. Meaning all the glory of mankind and their pride will altogether bow low. The Lord will stand up from his throne to shake up the earth, his enemies will crawl with fear because of the glory of his majesty. He says to John, "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be" Revelation 22:12. And the true worshipper of God says come Lord, come! YOUR LEADERS MISLEAD YOU. "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people,

O generation of vipers!

Hard words isn’t it? Yet true. Why did John liken multitudes who came to be baptised of him to brood of vipers? I understand now why since I have many followers also in this group. Believe you me Wake up church is loaded with pastors, prophets, bishops, all sorts. Men and women who come not because they want to change but because they were fearful that Laurence might one day be speaking the truth about them. This is why so many come disguised - Brood of vipers! The problem John had is, these multitudes he baptised didn’t come to commit, so he told them "repent and believe." He said, " Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham " Luke 3:8  John demanded something of his hearers i.e., repentance, change of heart, belief, and good works. His essential message was simply that we be what

Who hath bewitched you?

I look at the state of church and I ask, " are you so foolish? " " Who hath bewitched you, " that you should go after fortune telling/divination? " O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? " Galatians 3:1-3. The Lord says, " Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord " Ezekiel 13:22-23. What is it making people sad? No, doub

Is the day of Christ at hand?

Jesus is coming back soon, but before Christ is come, a falling away is first. "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition" 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2. It is obvious that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon, and that we all shall be gathered together to him, but he shall come on a day we not aware of. May the Lord please direct your heart "into the love of God, and into the patiently waiting for Christ." Waiting doesn’t mean you should stop your day to day work. Paul said, "Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that

Jesus said, when ye shall see all these things; famines, pestilences, earthquakes, tribulations , sorrows, afflictions, offences, abomination of desolation, and iniquities, then know that I’m at the door! But first know, read and understand he said, "my words shall not pass away," but eveRhône one of them will be fulfilled. The coming of the Son of man shall be as lightning that we all see. "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" Matthew 24:30. We shall all see him; and here is the sign; "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven..." Matthew 24:29 - 30. The only light

Be not be troubled!

See to it that you’ll not be troubled by those with familiar spirits who say to you  " Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not". See that ye be not troubled: (by false prophets obviously) who offers you a false sense of peace, "but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" Matthew 24:13. Few things you must know, watch, read and understand my friend; First, be wary of people bent to make you believe everything they say concerning God! Yes, you heard me right. Watch them, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect" Matthew 24:24. Jesus said, “if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not" Matthew 24:23. Behold, I have told you; Christ is neither here or there. All those who say to you "Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not" - they’re false prophets. Wors

Do I now persuade men, or God?

Today my friend I want you to understand something concerning your calling. Paul said, I am an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father.  Your calling begins with God and ends with God; nothing more nothing less. Do I now persuade men, or God? As I preach I do not seek to please men Paul says, for if I please men, I should not be the servant of Christ - he doesn’t like men-pleasers at all. Seek to please Jesus Christ who "gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father" Galatians 1:4 This world in which we live in is an evil world, You were not called for it, but to minister grace, peace and blessing to those who believe is the reason why we preach. Therefore you who believe, "Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen" Galatians 1:3.  Jesus said, "I

Approved in Christ

My friend hear this, Paul says to Timothy, " Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed ..." 2 Timothy 2:15. We are his workmanship, approved or created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. It’s our responsibility, our duty to make sure that we are walking the talk, that we are obedient to our own master, and that we are pleasing God, well and in all things. So let us hold fast to our profession or fear, lest, a promise being lest us of being approved of God, any of us should seem to come short of it.  Paul says, " But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates " 2 Corinthians 13:6. I have stood that test and truly belong to the Lord, just as you also do. Reprobates are unprincipled people, such as scare you with dreams, and visions, and revelations, and callings or simply for the fact that they’re servants of God. But Paul says, " Now I

Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 2 Corinthians 8:7 In this journey of life, aim that you abound in everything; in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in love, and much grace. Concerning grace, Paul says, abound in this grace also, and finish it. Understand as a believer, the level of grace upon you. The grace upon Jesus Christ was " that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich " 2 Corinthians 8:9.   What’s that grace upon us now?  Paul says, it is to " receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of ministering to the saints " 2 Corinthians 8:4. It is to prove your own love, and perform the doing of it, " that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have " 2 Corinthians 8:11. Be willing

Perfecting holiness in the fear of God!

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God - 2 Corinthians 7:1 In a nutshell here is the promise, the same you’ve already received; God promised to hear us in a time accepted, but only when in all things we approve ourselves as the ministers of God, " in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses " 2 Corinthians 6:4. He said that you’re the temple of God; for " God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them ; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people " 2 Corinthians 6:16.  He said, " I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty " 2 Corinthians 6:17-18  He will receive you, only when you choose to be separate; spiritually, physically, socially, economically, etc. He said, " Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for

Be ye also enlarged!

"We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain" 2 Corinthians 6:1. It is vain if today you are found tossing his word for personal advantage. The difference between Old Testament believers and ourselves is because they believed God in carnal ways, we don’t. We do it through the spirit. Don’t look back, there is nothing good there. He called us, that in all things we prove " ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened

The earnest of the Spirit

We will have wonderful new bodies in heaven, homes that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God himself and not by human hands.  What is the Lord doing now? He’s busy preparing a place for you, your own mansion. But today I want you to see something that Paul says; " For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life " 2 Corinthians 5:4 KJV These our bodies, (earthly bodies) make us groan and sigh, not for the reason of the many troubles of our lives, no. But that one day we will be clothed upon, and mortality will be swallowed up by life everlasting.   You know why we groan? It is because we know, that every moment we spend in these earthly bodies is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus. So we groan, looking forward with confidence to our heavenly bodies. Paul says, " we are not afraid but are quite content to die, for then we

The Epistle of Christ

"... our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life " 2 Corinthians 3:5-6. I’m an epistle/letter of Christ, written with the Spirit of the living God. What’s written is manifestly declared on my heart and can be read by all men. He called me for nothing else except for the kingdom of heaven, not even to preach about Moses, the Jews but Chr ist. I am determined not to know anything among you also, " save Jesus Christ, and him crucified " 1 Corinthians 2:2. I’m a letter of Christ; meaning he made me who I am, a minister of the New Testament, not of the letter. I only preach Christ, not the old covenant, " for the letter killeth ...." 2 Corinthians 3:6. That’s the reason why it was discontinued, the first covenant and all it’s ordinances was a disaster, whether it was good or bad, it makes no difference, for as far as I am aware

Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus!

" For we writ e none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end " 2 Corinthians 1:13. What is it that you read about and acknowledge? When you read your Bible, all you see is the grace of God, you see his promises too. Two promises stand out; that of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is for us the grace of God and, ”all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" 2 Corinthians 1:20. The Holy Ghost. Paul says, He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts" 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. When you read your Bible, don’t be distracted from seeing these two promises, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I trust ye shall be able to acknowledge their presence in your life and significance even to the end of your journey here on Earth.

Can a transgender be saved?

The gospel must be preached to all, dead or alive, straight or gay that all may be judged according to Christ at his return.  "For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit" 1 Peter 4:6. Can a transgender be saved? Yes they can! If the gospel was preached to them that are dead, that they may live according to God in the spirit, it can also be preached to anybody who had their bodies punished with death.  No one should be shout out of the mercies and graces of God. I would that everyone live according to God in the spirit, regardless. 1 Peter 4:2 says,  "That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God." The end of the world is coming soon! Everyone will face the Judge of all, living and dead; they will be punished for the way they have lived, and we all will. God

Understanding Spiritual Growth!

" Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord." Ezekiel 37:5-6 Apostle Peter says, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious" 1 Peter 2:2-3. From the day you are born again through to maturity, true believers continue to grow, learn and develop themselves, and that development can also be measured. The order in which believers advance from one milestone to the next is roughly the same, however, each believer will develop at a different rate and their development may not progress evenly across all areas. What do we mean by growth and development?  Growth is the increase in size of the body – in height, weight and other measurable a

Create a Culture of Coaching!

"And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan." Genesis 14:14 Coaching is one tool that can be used to assist others to develop. It is increasingly becoming popular and effective in the ministry of the word. One development tool that is often confused with coaching is training. Training is the process by which someone learns a new skill or acquires a new segment of knowledge. At the end of training, the individual may be able to do the job, like is the case with the scripture above. It is possible to train, but fail to achieve the required standards. Training can be formal (e.g. training courses) or informal (on-the-job). True learning occurs when the learner has transferred it from the training environment into the ‘real world’, and when he/she has made a substantial change in behaviour or way of doing things. This is where coaching comes in. Th

Lord, teach us to pray!

We go to church, but unfortunately many of us go intriguing for our own benefits, not God’s. In Zechariah’s days some also went to church, to seek a blessing and to speak with the priests and prophets about "whether they must continue their traditional custom of they had been doing for so long" Zechariah 7:3.   The thing is they were crying to God, but God would not hear. They never tried to figure out why God was ignoring them. I like it when we persist, but only in well doing. Anyway, the Lord asked them, when you fast and mourn, are you really earnest about leaving your sins behind and coming back to me or you do it for your own benefit?  We’re not saved to profit carnally; ”It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" John 6:63. The prophets warned it will surely lead to ruin if we continue with that attitude. In regard to fasting, God says,

The Four Spirits!

"And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass" Zechariah 6:1. These four chariots were separately pulled by red,  black, white and speckled horses, and the colour coding determined their respective callings or assignments. "Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth" Zechariah 6:4-5 The four spirits The Holy Ghost is in our lives to pull us or direct us to do God’s work. The chariots that was pulled by the black horses went north, and the one pulled by white horses followed it there. The speckled horses went south, and the red horses patrolled back and forth across the earth.  Their task, or the spirit’s task was to execute God’s judge
