Friendship of the world is enmity with God!

"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" James 4:4-5

Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Every believer should know that wisdom of the world, whatever it is, is against truth. It is earthly, self seeking, proud, envious, sensual and demonic. Even psychology is against the truths of God. While in this tabernacle, always know "the spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy" James 4:5. I’m talking of of principalities and powers of this world; He’s both proud and insubordinate.

Paul says in Romans 7:21-23, "I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." In Verse 24 he then cries, "O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?"

While in this body, in many things we offend all because the spirit of this world will always want to take the lead. We’re earthly! "For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death" Romans 7:5. Sin,  wrought in us all manner of concupiscence.

Here is how you overcome;

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." James 4:7-8.

Wholly, "humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up" (James 4:10) by the Spirit of his dear Son, Jesus Christ. Let wisdom from above continue to humble you.

Sit down, Martha!

The story of Martha and Mary tells us that there are two types of Christians out there; where one is a worshipper and another is a waitperson or server. You can choose what you want to be, that’s to be a worshipper or server. But listen to this before you do; " Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. "" Luke 10:38-42. Mary chose the best part, to sit down at his feet and not be worried, frustrated, confused and troubl

The ways of the Gentiles

Thus says the LORD: "Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them , Jeremiah 10:2 NKJV. Gentiles are the people of this world; are people who care for the things of this life, who glory in flesh and blood, but sit in darkness and the shadow of death.  The LORD said, first, " Do not learn the way of the Gentiles, " second, do not listen to their foolish predictions, and thirdly, Jesus sending His disciples said," Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. " Matthew 10:5. Why? Because their ways are futile and foolish. This world is their portion, but us Christians, as Jesus was so are we in this world - strangers and pilgrims, for we are of God. All the wealth that you see around is the world's goods, but our treasure is above, and our help comes from there too. 1 John 3:14-15 says, " We know that we have passed from death to life, because w

Wise men from the East

After Jesus was born, wise men from the East came  to worship him bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh with them. Many people came to  worship him; shepherds, kings, and angels also. Shepherds came to a manger but these wise men came to the house where Mary were with the child. They came from the East to Jerusalem, asking, "Where is He who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East, and have come to worship him." When King Herod heard this, he was frightened and all Jerusalem with him; and calling together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born.  They told him, " In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it has been written by the prophet: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel. ’”  Then Herod secretly called for the wise men and learned from them the exact time when th
