Inspirational leadership

We can all benefit from becoming better leaders.

"Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people." Isaiah 55:3-4

The Lord is saying above, incline your ear, and come to me: hear, and... I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. It doesn’t just happen, but you play your part and make the right decision.

He says, "Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people." David wasn’t born a leader, but God made him one, and concerning you He said "I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David." See how God can make you a leader also only if you incline your ear, and come to Him and hear the same way David hearkened.

Leadership skills

Leadership is about knowledge, skill and confidence.

I know what part I serve! It’s to work with believers, who for a range of reasons may be less able to protect themselves from the abuse of false prophets :). Am I a motivational leader? No, I’m neither authoritarian, Democratic nor a laissez-fair leader although sometimes it’s possible to find some of those characteristics in me. But although I have the positivity, personality and  vision to inspire others that doesn’t make me a motivational speaker. What then am I? I’m who I’m.

Anyway, David knew what purpose he served, and so should you. "Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people."

John 12:46 says "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness."

As a leader I set direction, and do inspire but I don’t forget why God called me? He called me to be a witness, a leader and a commander, and sometimes there is nothing inspiring about my calling. But when you’re climbing I make sure you’ve set the ladder on the right wall. I don’t tell you what to do but I inspire you to do it right.

Deuteronomy 30:15,19 says, "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil...life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live."

Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live!

God bless,
Laurence

The office of a bishop!

"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach." 1 Timothy 3:2
You got to tick all the boxes to be a bishop, not to tick tick the only one box that suits you most, but all. It‘s not enough only to be able to teach whilst you fail on the other aspects. A bishop must be blameless and beyond reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine, not a bully, but gentle, considerate, and free from the love of money. Now consider also your leader, if he/she can teach, but falls short on the other characteristics then you should know you’re both liable to falling into the devil’s trap. How will he/she take care of the church of God while ethically wrong?
Paul says, "These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, …

Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus!

"For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end" 2 Corinthians 1:13.
What is it that you read about and acknowledge?
When you read your Bible, all you see is grace of God, you see his promises too.
Two promises stand out; that of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is for us the grace of God and, ”all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" 2 Corinthians 1:20.The Holy Ghost. Paul says, He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts" 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.

When you read your Bible, don’t be distracted from seeing both these two promises, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  I trust ye shall be able to acknowledge their presence in your life and significance even to the end of your journey here on Earth.
"For if these things be in you,…

Who are you following?

Each and every one of us will follow someone, however the person you follow will either lead you to fulfil your potential or will lead you to the wrong place.
Who are you following? A deaf-blind leader always lead someone into a ditch. Paul said, "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." Ephesians 5:1-2
He reminds us of who to follow and that person is none other than God himself who’s to lead you until you encounter his purpose and will.
Following God will lead you to a new birth with Jesus, and life in the spirit. You never go wrong with his plan. But if you follow people they’ll lead you to all uncleanness; idolatry, covetousness and fornication. "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope..."Romans 8:20.

"Be not ye therefore partakers …
