Put the brethren in remembrance!

"If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained." 1 Timothy 4:6 KJV

Put the brethren in remembrance of these things; "that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." 1 Timothy 4:1-3

It makes you a good minister to make someone to remember, to believe, know, and attain to sound doctrine. This you can do if yourself too are nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine.

If you’ve no sound doctrine you make it easy for you to be turned away from the faith, no matter how strong you feel you are. Mind you, some people who’ve backslide were once strong like you, but they’ve been seduced to pay attention instead to deceitful and seductive spirits and doctrines of demons. Why? Because they’d no roots! You’ve to be rooted and grounded in sound doctrine my friend; "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2:6-8.

What’s destroying believers today is trying to be philosophically minded with the things of God. Reasoning is what has destroyed many people’s faith. Believers are giving heed to the rudiments of the world, to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, and vain deceit, more than they remember the word of God.

But you my friend, "trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe" 1 Timothy 4:10.

Paul says, "...be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine." 1 Timothy 4:12-13.

Good bless,

Who are you following?

Each and every one of us will follow someone, however the person you follow will either lead you to fulfil your potential or will lead you to the wrong place.
Who are you following? A deaf-blind leader always lead someone into a ditch. Paul said, "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." Ephesians 5:1-2
He reminds us of who to follow and that person is none other than God himself who’s to lead you until you encounter his purpose and will.
Following God will lead you to a new birth with Jesus, and life in the spirit. You never go wrong with his plan. But if you follow people they’ll lead you to all uncleanness; idolatry, covetousness and fornication. "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope..."Romans 8:20.

The office of a bishop!

"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach." 1 Timothy 3:2
You got to tick all the boxes to be a bishop, not to tick tick the only one box that suits you most, but all. It‘s not enough only to be able to teach whilst you fail on the other aspects. A bishop must be blameless and beyond reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine, not a bully, but gentle, considerate, and free from the love of money. Now consider also your leader, if he/she can teach, but falls short on the other characteristics then you should know you’re both liable to falling into the devil’s trap. How will he/she take care of the church of God while ethically wrong?
Paul says, "These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, …

Why we go to church

Church is a place where the Lord your God has chosen to place his name there.

Moses said, thou shalt go there, "and worship before the Lord thy God" Deuteronomy 26:10.

You go to Church to worship the Lord, and to "rejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house..." Deuteronomy 26:11. While there also you petition the Lord to bless you too.

Deuteronomy 26:16-19 says, "This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice: And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, a…
