The just shall live by faith!

The just shall live by faith, faith only on what God gave us by promise, and was confirmed by Him in Christ.

There is no other way we may inherit the promises of God except that of believing in the faith of Jesus Christ, "the scripture hath concluded all [other ways] under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe" Galatians 3:22.

We should always know that "before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster" Galatians 3:23-25.

Now that faith is come, we cannot continue in those beggarly elements if we’ve to please God.

But how has faith come to us?

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10:17.

"But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness" Romans 6:17-18.

Faith came to us first, when we obeyed the truth of Jesus Christ. "And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham" Galatians 3:8-9.

No man is justified any other way apart from that of believing in the gospel of Christ, for "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith" Galatians 3:13-14.

We receive the promise of the Spirit through faith in Jesus. It is to him where the promises were made, and we inherit them through him.

"Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator." Galatians 3:19

The promise is given through Jesus Christ to them that believe. For instance, "ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26.

"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" Galatians 3:29.

Why am l writing like this, Paul says, "I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" 2 Corinthians 11:3.

The office of a bishop!

"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach." 1 Timothy 3:2
You got to tick all the boxes to be a bishop, not to tick tick the only one box that suits you most, but all. It‘s not enough only to be able to teach whilst you fail on the other aspects. A bishop must be blameless and beyond reproach, the husband of one wife, self-controlled, sensible, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine, not a bully, but gentle, considerate, and free from the love of money. Now consider also your leader, if he/she can teach, but falls short on the other characteristics then you should know you’re both liable to falling into the devil’s trap. How will he/she take care of the church of God while ethically wrong?
Paul says, "These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, …

Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus!

"For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end" 2 Corinthians 1:13.
What is it that you read about and acknowledge?
When you read your Bible, all you see is grace of God, you see his promises too.
Two promises stand out; that of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is for us the grace of God and, ”all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" 2 Corinthians 1:20.The Holy Ghost. Paul says, He which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; "Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts" 2 Corinthians 1:21-22.

When you read your Bible, don’t be distracted from seeing both these two promises, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  I trust ye shall be able to acknowledge their presence in your life and significance even to the end of your journey here on Earth.
"For if these things be in you,…

Who are you following?

Each and every one of us will follow someone, however the person you follow will either lead you to fulfil your potential or will lead you to the wrong place.
Who are you following? A deaf-blind leader always lead someone into a ditch. Paul said, "Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." Ephesians 5:1-2
He reminds us of who to follow and that person is none other than God himself who’s to lead you until you encounter his purpose and will.
Following God will lead you to a new birth with Jesus, and life in the spirit. You never go wrong with his plan. But if you follow people they’ll lead you to all uncleanness; idolatry, covetousness and fornication. "For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope..."Romans 8:20.

"Be not ye therefore partakers …
