Zechariah, in a vision he saw a candlestick with seven lamps, and at the top it had a bowl and oil was flowing through seven tubes feeding the seven lamps. He said to the angel, I see "two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof" Zechariah 4:3, and he then asked, "What are these, my lord? What does this mean?
I am a typical example of him, for I also ask about anything. Anyway, meanwhile Zerubbabel was busy building the temple, and by all means had laid the foundations, facing resistance from every angle. His dilemma was twofold; he was building God a house but the problem God wasn’t building with him, and resistance.
Then the angel said to Zechariah, "Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord." Zechariah 4:5.
It’s good news for Zerubbabel!
"...This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it." Zechariah 4:6-7.
This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, it’s time now you let God do the work.
It’s good news for you too my friend, you don’t have to labour to do God’s work, "For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth" Zechariah 4:10.
You don’t need to fight in this battle, for God has chosen you to fight for you. "Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord" Zechariah 2:10.
Sing and rejoice; for the Lord has chosen you again. He has chosen you to be his portion and Holy habitation.
He says, "lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord." For I, saith the Lord, will be ... a wall of fire round about you, and will be the glory amidst you! "...he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye" Zechariah 2:8.
What is pastor saying? I’m saying have hope, and grace to you ; "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure" 1 John 3:3.
