I will put my trust in him!

"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?" Hebrews 2:3-4 KJV

In  Hebrews chapter two, we see a transition of Testaments taking place; from old to new, ministry of angels to that of Christ and from that of priests to the disciples. Even though the ministry of angels was powerful, but the one administered by the Lord is even more powerful, for all things have been put under him to include that which will happen hereafter.

Under the old covenant, man "was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope" Romans 8:20. But under Christ, man is "delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God" Romans 8:21. There is no vail anymore, no darkness, but glory is revealed in us. "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God" Romans 8:16. This has been made possible for us by Jesus, that is when he tasted death for every man, to bring "many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren" Hebrews 2:10-11.

But you my friend, there is a part you play, i.e., you have to make it possible for yourself also, and you ask me how? Simple, become one with Jesus, and allow yourself to be sanctified by him. "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage" Hebrews 2:14-15. Take his nature also, declare his name, and put your trust in him.

Yes, put your whole trust in him, "according to his own will" Hebrews 2:4. Worship God according to Christ, not anymore the Old Covenant way, because if you do you live in a limbo. Regrettably some Christians seek to make a balance of the two, both the New and Old Testament, but that’s not his will. Hear this, the old was done away with.

Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" John 14:6. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation. God’s will for you is that you may be saved, and you come to "the knowledge of truth."

What is the gospel? It is that word, that was spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; anything more or less is not the good news.

God bless,
Laurence

Jesus is Rejected at Nazareth!

Then Jesus left the wilderness of Judea, where Satan tempted him for forty days, and " returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. " Luke 4:14-16 NKJV. Before, full of the Holy Spirit, he spent forty days in the wilderness being tempted by the devil, and now he returns to Galilee, in the power of the Spirit to begin his ministry. He taught in other synagogues, being glorified by all, but here in Nazareth, where He was brought up, is rejected. They handed to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: " The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To

Who are you really working for?

I’m here to help you figure out who you’re really working for, because if you know you will provide great service for him/her, or them, no matter what you do, you need to know who they are and what they’re looking for. Someone is saying I am working for God, but that could be a blanket statement my friend because working for God means feeding His lambs, and is how you offer His sheep the best service possible. For some of us it is more clear cut than for others. I can’t tell you who you are working for, it would be wrong to assume that you’re serving God, men or yourself, etc, but I can help you identify who you’re really working for, and how you can do it with all of your heart if you find it well. Why we serve! We serve God for different reasons, but the work of the Lord couldn’t be same as the work of men or of the world. His is light, with no darkness at all - pure religion! The angel said to the church in Thyatira, “‘ These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of

The Wedding at Cana

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him, John 2:11 KJV. The first time Jesus performed a miracle (revealed his glory) was at a wedding in Cana. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration. Wine ran out, and Jesus' mother told him, " They have no more wine ." She went to him anticipating a miracle, and Jesus said, " Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come " John 2:4. But she tells the servants anyway, " Whatever He says to you, do it ."  This you should also know my friend, tell him your need anyway, and " Do whatever he tells you ." But be fully aware of the divine timing also. The timing by which waters are stirred up or the spirit moves is set by the Father. Jesus said to them, " Fill the waterpots with water. " And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, " Dr
