And this is the will of God, that you
"...Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it" Colossians 4:17. Be sure to do everything, and all.
1. Pray"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving" Colossians 4:2. Employ prayer in all it’s forms; supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, and when you have prayed watch for God's answers, and remember to be thankful when they come.
2. Read the biblePaul says, "Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man" Colossians 4:5-6. We’re in this journey together, not as lone wolves. Jesus said, "What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance" Luke 15:4-7. Even so, there is joy in heaven when you count others with you too.
3. Love the brotherhood
Remember, we have been chosen by God, it is him who has given us this new life, to practice kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering and forgiveness to others. He says, "But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful" Colossians 3:14-15.
It is a privilege and our responsibility as believers, to be adorned with these characteristics.
