Let God train you!

Simple Gospel Summation

"And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" Hebrews 12:5-7 KJV

Always remember my friend, that you’re a child of God. His word is that he uses to encourage you.

One thing you have to do is allow him to train you and  in this journey of faith you’re to cheerfully submit yourself to God’s training.

He is your coach, mentor and trainer, you’re not his teacher. Do not be discouraged when he has to show you where you are wrong. It proves that you’re his child and that he loves you, "shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?" Hebrews 12:9.

"If God doesn't punish you when you need it, as other fathers punish their sons, then it means that you aren't really God's son at all-that you don't really belong in his family." Hebrews 12:8.

Sometimes you cry why Lord, why me? Here is why? It is because you need it,  but know this, afterwards there will be a peaceful harvest of those he trains in his ways.

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled" Hebrews 12:14 -15.

He is training you to listen to him, and work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life so that you may see the grace of God in your day to day.

Do not be afraid to be trained by him you my friend, God is your father, he doesn’t strike terror into anyone like it was the case before, "But ye are come ... to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh...." Hebrews 12:22-25.

We read in Hebrews 8:10-12 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."

O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him, Psalm 34:8. And Lamentations 3:25 says, "The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him."

God bless,
Laurence

The gospel of Christ!

The gospel of God, is that which pertains to His Son Jesus Christ, through him we have received grace and apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith to all.

Our service is rendered to God, whom we serve by our spirits telling the good news about his Son.

Preaching the gospel is all manner of witnessing and imparting spiritual gifts on God’s people, the believers, the called of Jesus Christ, who are called to be saints. That method of believing is called faith, and mutual faith when we together believe.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith" Romans 1:16-17.

The gospel of God is that which concerns His Son. God can be known only through the gospel of Christ, and that which may be known of God has now been made manifest in us; for God r…

Partakers of Christ's sufferings!

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy" 1 Peter 4:12-13

It is no shame to suffer for being a Christian, instead it is a privilege, folks. For "if ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye ; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified" 1 Peter 4:14.

Suffer according to God's will, not "as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters" 1 Peter 4:15.  But do what is right folks, and trust yourself to God who made you, for he will never fail you.

"The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: …

Melchizedek

Melchizedek was king of the city of Salem and also a priest of the Most High God. His name means King of Justice, King of righteousness and King of peace.

Life story

Melchizedek had no father or mother and there is no record of any of his ancestors. He was never born and he never died but his life is like that of the Son of God - a priest forever. We learn from his life story that a priest’s other job is to bless those who have promises, (ref: Hebrews 7:6). Have we got any promise? Yes loads, and among others we’ve the promise of salvation.

Anyway, I said Melchizedek’s life is like that of the Son of God - a priest forever.  After the Levitical priesthood God sends a new kind of priest, and we can plainly see that God's method changed, for Christ, the new High Priest who came with the rank of Melchizedek, as we all know, Christ did not belong to the priest-tribe of Levi, but came from the tribe of Judah, which had not been chosen for priesthood; Moses had never given them that wo…
