"Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded" 1 Peter 2:6 KJV

Christ, is very precious to God. He is a chief corner stone upon this spiritual house God is building. You’re precious to God too, and "as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ" 1 Peter 2:5. We’re priests, who offer to God those things that please him - you matter so much to God.

Christ is precious to you who believe in God through him, for without him we can do nothing, all our royalty is because him, and to those who reject him still he’s  precious, that when iniquity abounds they may fall. But you are not like them, for  through Christ you have been chosen by God himself, you are God's very own - all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of darkness into his wonderful light, "Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy" 1 Peter 2:10. Through Christ, you’ve been made God’s very own, "a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people."

The apostle says, I beg you now to keep away from the evil pleasures of this world; they are not for you, for they fight against your very souls. He says, "lay aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings" 1 Peter 2:1. But have a desire to grow up into the fullness of your salvation.

He said, for this is the will of God,  "If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious" 1 Peter 2:3, follow his steps, "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example" 1 Peter 2:21, the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed" 1 Peter 2:24. He left us an example folks, to "Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king" 1 Peter 2:17. It’s our duty as royalties to honour all men, to love the brotherhood and to fear God.

God bless,
Laurence

Sit down, Martha!

The story of Martha and Mary tells us that there are two types of Christians out there; where one is a worshipper and another is a waitperson or server. You can choose what you want to be, that’s to be a worshipper or server. But listen to this before you do; " Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. "" Luke 10:38-42. Mary chose the best part, to sit down at his feet and not be worried, frustrated, confused and troubl

What do you want to see in a 21st century church?

I wanna see the glory of the Lord come in the temple! Once again, that when I come in the temple, behold, the whole place "is most holy," Ezekiel 43:12, and the glory of the Lord is full in the Temple. I like this verse; “Seven days they shall make atonement for the altar and purify it, and so consecrate it. When these days are over it shall be, on the eighth day and thereafter, that the priests shall offer your burnt offerings and your peace offerings on the altar; and I will accept you,' says the Lord GOD,” Ezekiel 43:26-27. Now, "…make atonement for the altar and purify it, and so consecrate it…and I will accept you," says the Lord. There is a river, healing waters; "flowing from under the threshold of the temple," Ezekiel 47:1. "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, wi

The people of Israel

The journey of the people of Israel is a fascinating story, and understanding it could possibly make your own life story too. It began when God called Abraham, and said to him, " Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee " Acts 7:3. He obeyed, and he left and lived in Haran, in a country they now call Israel. But God, gave him no " inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child " Acts 7:5. So, God promised that eventually the whole country would belong to him and his descendants, but these descendants of his would leave the land and live in a foreign country and there become slaves for 400 years. He said  I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and afterwards they will return to this land of Israel and worship me here. Later, Isaac was born, and Isaac had Jacob, and Jaco
