The weapons of our warfare!

Reverend LC Muzembi  " And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong " 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God, they are in the simplicity of Christ, in the fruit of the Spirit; " love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law " Galatians 5:22-23. " If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities " 2 Corinthians 11:30. " So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the r

Abound in this grace also!

Reverend LC Muzembi " Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also " 2 Corinthians 8:7 KJV. Abound in this grace also, Giving! God gave us his only Son, the Son gave us his life; " For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich " 2 Corinthians 8:9. God’s grace was bestowed on us, that while in our deep poverty we should be able to give to others also, why? Because our sufficiency is of God. Grace does not operate in a vacuum, your first action is to dedicate yourself to the Lord then abound in every thing; in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, in all diligence, in love for the brethren, and then in the spirit of cheerful giving. Grace be with you, meaning; prove the sincerity of your love, 2 Corinthians 8:8. prove that your dee

Your grief led to repentance!

Reverend LC Muzembi The reason I write like this is because I like to think loud and express my views peradventure it may help someone. It may seem like I’m boasting about what I know. But if it’ll build you up then I am okay with it. It may be painful to you, but I know one thing, that  " godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death " 2 Corinthians 7:10. Pain should cause you to repent and change your ways. It’s the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have. So when  I preach to you like this, the intention is not to harm you my friend, but it’s to produce in you repentance that leads to salvation without regret. Paul said, " I now rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance. For you were grieved as God willed, so that you didn't experience any loss from us " 2 Corinthians 7:9. You don’t lose anything by reading my articles as some people claim,

Life after death

Reverend LC Muzembi " For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life " 2 Corinthians 5:4 KJV. These our bodies are our earthly houses, a tent, meaning a temporary habitation, and every moment we spend in these earthly bodies is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus. So one day we will all die, or, we will be unclothed, but further clothed with heavenly bodies, " that mortality may be swallowed up by life " 2 Corinthians 5:4. God, has given us the Spirit to guarantee this, to prepare us for this transition. This is what God has prepared for us, that while in our present bodies, we should look forward to the day when we shall have heavenly bodies, that day when we shall put on like new clothes, we die and slip into our new bodies. It’s only a matter of time, these dying bodies will be swallowed up by our heavenly bodies. &q

The light of the gospel of Christ!

" For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Chris t" 2 Corinthians 4:6. God has shone in our hearts to give us light, and when you’ve knowledge of Jesus Christ through this gospel, that light of God is shining on you. Yes my friend, God ordered the Gospel to shine on you,  he caused you to understand the message about Christ. " But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us " 2 Corinthians 4:7. Why is it so? So that everyone can see that this light is from God, and not our own doing, it’s "not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts" Zechariah 4:6. These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did; " We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast d

You are a letter from Christ!

Reverend LC Muzembi  God made us who preach Christ ministers of the new covenant, not of the Old, but of the New.  We don't go around preaching about ourselves, but we preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and yourself my friend, " clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart " 2 Corinthians 3:3 NKJV Show the world, the vessel you’re, " a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work " 2 Timothy 2:21. Be their ideal; how you live should be a pattern for them in your love, your faith, and your clean thoughts. The Spirit gives life! Anyway, when we preach like this, the Spirit is busy writing (new not old stuff) in your heart, and your life is being transformed into the same image [of Christ] from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit into a pattern for all. "

Grace to you and peace!

Reverend LC Muzembi " Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ " 2 Corinthians 1:2 KJV. Grace is the unmerited favour of God, it’s mercy, not that merited on works. Paul says, " Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God " 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others also, that when they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort and hope God has given us. The grace of God, appeared; " teaching us that....we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age " Titus 2:12. When grace comes it changes your life and brings in salvation, it transforms your desires, motivations, and behaviour. "... and to prove

What the Gospel really is!

Reverend LC Muzembi  The name of Jesus Christ " And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this? Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole " Acts 4:7-10 KJV. We’re in an age where if you’re doing something, it has to be systematic and scientifically proven, or evidence based, otherwise your project will flop. If you’re a preacher, they want you to be theologically correct, even your witnessing systematic. They asked Peter saying, " by what power, or by what name, have ye done this? "  It was unheard of that one would just stand up

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong!

Reverend LC Muzembi  " Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong " 1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV. " ye..." " For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries " 1 Corinthians 16:9. An adversary is usually a rival or a fellow preacher who smears another preacher’s reputation. The Lord said " a man's foes shall be they of his own household " Matthew 10:36."... watch ye ..."  Paul said, " Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren " 1 Corinthians 16:10 -11. Com’on folks, do not waste your energy on despising others. Do not intimidate those working with you, " for they worketh the work of the Lord, as you also do. " Instead, acknowledge such men. "

Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts!

Pursue love for if you don't love, you’re nothing; love the brotherhood! No matter what you say, what you believe, and what you do, you’re nothing without love. " Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away" 1 Corinthians 13:8. Yes all these will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity " 1 Corinthians 13:13. If you didn’t love others, with all that you do, you would only be making noise. " Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things " 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. With this we

Keep the ordinances, as I delivered them!

Reverend LC Muzembi Ordinances are traditions, statutes, acts or customs you have to observe  to show that you believe, and as Christians we have many of these which Paul has put it briefly saying, " Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ " 1 Corinthians 11:1. Following his good example; his Christlike ethical behaviours, makes the burden lighter for you. Jesus said, " For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light " Matthew 11:30. He said to his disciples, " If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me " Matthew 16:24. And again Paul said, " Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you " 1 Corinthians 11:2. We’ve loads of these ordinances to observe, basically on how to go about everything; praying, fasting, giving,  attire, and concerning the Lord’s supper. He’s worried about some traditions that we Christians sometimes

These things became our examples!

Reverend LC Muzembi " There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it " 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV Temptations are wrong desires that come into our lives, not new though to mankind for many others have faced exactly the same problems before us, but  God is faithful, he will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it, and will make a way for you to escape.  Many others have faced exactly the same problems before us, and " now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come " 1 Corinthians 10:11. From them we have learned that " we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted, 1 Corinthians 10:6. We must not desire evil things as they did. W

The seal of my apostleship!

Reverend LC Muzembi This is my answer to those who ask me why I preach, and this they ask because they think I have no right to, but the scripture says, " how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! " Romans 10:15. What’s my job? I am God’s messenger, an apostle if you like, responsible to no mere man, but Christ himself, and that I do is enlist you for the race, so that you may run your race too, and run much so to win. " For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more " 1 Corinthians 9:19. I have freely and happily become a servant of any and all so that I can win them to Christ. Do I have rights at all? Of course I do.  I can claim the same power or privileges the other apostles have to burden you. Instead of me working, I can make demands of you to give towards my needs, p

Settle your own differences!

Reverend LC Muzembi Today we’re examining 1 Corinthians Chapter 6. God wants us Christians to settle our own differences. Believers and nonbelievers are a different species living in the same community, but we’ve unrelated societal and cultural values. We may keep company, but socially we avoid each other, and us Christians are more distinctive because, " they that feared the Lord spake often one to another. .." Malachi 3:16. We maintain social distancing partly because God wants us to be separate in all manner of conversation, " unto the gospel of God " and for what shall happen hereafter that we shall judge the world, and shall also judge angels.  How one conducts his/her life here on earth will indeed define their destiny hereafter. Anyway, it's a shame for those who shall inherit the kingdom of God, who shall judge the world, and  judge angels, that they should associate with the ungodly nor be judged by the unrighteous who shall not inherit the kin

Is there any other God?

Many gods, many lords, but there is no other God like Yahweh, " For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him " 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 KJV According to some people, a god is anything that is revered as divine or sacred, no wonder some animals and people are worshipped, and there are numerous gods, both in heaven and on earth. But we Christians know, that there is only one God, the Father, who created all things and made us to be his own, whose real name is Yahweh; and one Lord Jesus Christ, who made everything and gives us life. What’s an idol? An idol is any of these man-made gods, that are worshipped, venerated and revered instead of worshipping the one and only true God. Several of them are concepts developed by various philosophers to drag you into worshi

Let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn!

Apostle Paul said, " But I say this as a concession, not as a commandment. For I wish that all men were even as I myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that " 1 Corinthians 7:6-7. Concession means a thing is granted, permitted, adjusted, compromised or modified especially in response to demands. Moses’s bill of divorcement was a gesture made in recognition of a demand and so was Saul becoming king. The people asked Jesus, " Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so " Matthew 19:7-8. The people said to Samuel we want a king, " for we want to be like the nations around us ...." So Samuel told the Lord what the people had said, and the Lord replied again, " Then do as they say and give them a king." So Samuel agreed... &q
