Your grief led to repentance!

Simple Gospel Summation
Reverend LC Muzembi
The reason I write like this is because I like to think loud and express my views peradventure it may help someone. It may seem like I’m boasting about what I know. But if it’ll build you up then I am okay with it. It may be painful to you, but I know one thing, that
"godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death" 2 Corinthians 7:10.

Pain should cause you to repent and change your ways. It’s the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have.

So when  I preach to you like this, the intention is not to harm you my friend, but it’s to produce in you repentance that leads to salvation without regret. Paul said, "I now rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your grief led to repentance. For you were grieved as God willed, so that you didn't experience any loss from us" 2 Corinthians 7:9.

You don’t lose anything by reading my articles as some people claim, "for observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter" 2 Corinthians 7:11.

Romans 5:3-5 says, "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

I write, so that in the sight of God you may judge and see for yourselves how I have spoken to you the truth.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you" Philippians 4:8-9.

Receive us; "dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" 2 Corinthians 7:1.

God bless,
Laurence

The weapons of our warfare!

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong" 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV

The weapons of our warfare are mighty through God, they are in the simplicity of Christ, in the fruit of the Spirit; "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law" Galatians 5:22-23.

"If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities" 2 Corinthians 11:30. "So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye m…

Contend for the Faith!

You’re in Jesus Christ as God’s plan of salvation for you;
He called you, and you said yes in Jesus, wherein you are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved. In him is God’s mercy, and peace, and love multiplied towards you.
You are sanctified and preserved in Christ by God the Father, and not you alone, it’s a common salvation - it is the case throughout the world. The whole world is going after him. What happened to me happened also to you and to all who believe in God through Christ around the world.
Here is why God chose you, "that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" Jude 1:3.
We earnestly contend for the faith,  [or defend] the common salvation, that it remains the same as it was first delivered.
"For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."…

Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts!

Pursue love for if you don't love, you’re nothing; love the brotherhood!

No matter what you say, what you believe, and what you do, you’re nothing without love.

" Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away" 1 Corinthians 13:8. Yes all these will someday come to an end, but love goes on forever, "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity" 1 Corinthians 13:13.

If you didn’t love others, with all that you do, you would only be making noise.

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things" 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. With this we know we lov…
