Contend for the Faith!

You’re in Jesus Christ as God’s plan of salvation for you;

He called you, and you said yes in Jesus, wherein you are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved. In him is God’s mercy, and peace, and love multiplied towards you.

You are sanctified and preserved in Christ by God the Father, and not you alone, it’s a common salvation - it is the case throughout the world. The whole world is going after him. What happened to me happened also to you and to all who believe in God through Christ around the world.

Here is why God chose you, "that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints" Jude 1:3.

We earnestly contend for the faith,  [or defend] the common salvation, that it remains the same as it was first delivered.

"For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." Jude 1:4.

We contend for the faith against these ungodly men crept in unawares, who are bent towards doing ungodly acts, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, while in church.

"Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core." Jude 1:11.

The way of Cain, Balaam’s error for profit, and Korah’s rebellion are the ways of darkness evil workers do to turn the grace of our God into lasciviousness. These people, false prophets each time they open their mouth are discontent about something, their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage. The Apostle says, "But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." Jude 1:10.

These speak evil of those things which they know not about, "reject authority, and slander glorious ones. Yet when Michael the archangel was disputing with the devil in an argument about Moses's body, he did not dare utter a slanderous condemnation against him."

Verse 8 says, "Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh..." These rely much on their dreams - flattering people for advantage  living according to their desires.

He says, "These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever." Jude 1:12-13.

Don’t be deceived by their many words to think they are preaching Christ, they are wondering stars, foaming out their own shame - without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots, and you my friend are carried about of winds of their doctrine.

That’s how dangerous false prophets are, they are shepherds who only look after themselves. But you, dear friends, remember the word of God, that "In the end time there will be scoffers living according to their own ungodly desires." These people create divisions and are worldly, not having the Spirit.

You’re in Jesus Christ as God’s plan of salvation for you;

He called you, and you said yes in Jesus wherein you are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved and you bear witness of the same. In him is God’s mercy, and peace, and love multiplied to you - maintain your life with God; "building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourself in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." Jude 1:20-21.

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:11-13.

1 John 5:19-21 says,
"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen."

An idol, is anything, any person that may take God’s place in your heart.

But Christ came, to help us understand and find the true God, and now we are in God because of him.

And verse 24-25 says,

"Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

God bless,
Laurence

Sit down, Martha!

The story of Martha and Mary tells us that there are two types of Christians out there; where one is a worshipper and another is a waitperson or server. You can choose what you want to be, that’s to be a worshipper or server. But listen to this before you do; " Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. "" Luke 10:38-42. Mary chose the best part, to sit down at his feet and not be worried, frustrated, confused and troubl

Why is finding God so difficult?

  God says, ‘Here I am’ My hands stretched all day long for you, but “... when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight," Isaiah 65:12. He said you’ve walked in a way that is not good, i.e. according to you own thoughts. That’s why I "was found by those who did not seek Me." ‘Here I am!‘ The good thing with God is he reveals himself to you, but sadly we choose not to see, seek, listen nor to find him. To “find God” is an expression that can mean different things to different people. For some, is getting religion, whatever religion that may be. For others, to “find God” means to “clean up one’s life,” usually with his help. In any case, to “find God” involves a change in someone’s attitude and behaviour. Biblically speaking, to find God means to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus that anyone can come to God (John 14:6), and receiving Christ results in a

You are a chosen generation

Reverend Muzembi  " Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded " 1 Peter 2:6 KJV Christ, is very precious to God. He is a chief corner stone upon this spiritual house God is building. You’re precious to God too, and " as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ " 1 Peter 2:5. We’re priests, who offer to God those things that please him - you matter so much to God. Christ is precious to you who believe in God through him, for without him we can do nothing, all our royalty is because him, and to those who reject him still he’s  precious, that when iniquity abounds they may fall. But you are not like them, for  through Christ you have been chosen by God himself, you are God's very own - all this so that you may show to others how God called you o
