How can this be

Many people have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of the birth, ministry, passion, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, and of "those things which have been fulfilled among us." Luke 1:1, of the Son of God, partaking of flesh and blood and dwelling among us as is preached to you by us, that he died on the cross  purchasing your redemption. Paul says, "By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:2.
I am not the only one who is making a declaration of these things which are believed among us, for many also have taken in hand to do the same.
But Luke said, "It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed." Luke 1:3-5.
I’m also doing the same, so that you may have same p…

Whom are you seeking?

The day Jesus rose from the dead many notable conspiracy theories surfaced even among his followers, "For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead." John 20:9.Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. She then went back and reported it to Simon Peter, and the other disciples, that "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him."They then went to the tomb together, and looking in, saw the linen cloths lying there. They got in saw and believed the report that he has been taken away for real. So the disciples went away to their own homes, and Mary stayed behind. My friend, our Faith should not be based on ideas intended to explain something. We don’t believe basing on explanations of what people think God is, explanations that are based on assumptions, but we believe because we know the Scriptures, these were written that you may know…

Jesus before Pilate!

After the Jews arrested Jesus they were desperate for him to be killed, so they took him to Pilate who could apply the death penalty. The Jews said to Pilate, "It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death" John 18:31.Pilate interrogated Jesus, but could not find any fault in Him at all. He called Jesus, and said to Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." John 18:36.Hear this, the kingdom we preach is not of this world, but is the kingdom of heaven or of God.Anyway, he asked Him again, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." John 18:37. That’s why Paul sai…

Don't resist evil!

The chief priests and Pharisees gave Judas Iscariot a group of soldiers and police to accompany him, and they arrived at where Jesus was.Now at his arrest after Jesus had fully realised all that was going to happen to him, He stepped forward to meet them and asked, "Whom are you looking for?" They replied, "Jesus of Nazareth," and He said, "I am he."Remember, He once taught, that "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also" Matthew 5:38-39.But Simon Peter drew a sword and slashed off the right ear of Malchus, the High Priest's servant. Then Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword away. Shall I not drink from the cup the Father has given me?"Peter, Didn’t I tell you to not resist evil; that if one slaps you on your right cheek, then turn the other to him also? Put your sword away;…

The Lord's prayer!

Mission would soon be accomplished, and overly had good success training His disciples, and now He is reporting to the one who sent him, that mission is accomplished! He is now praying for his disciples and all the other believers; He said, "I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them." John 17:9-10.He prayed, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth," John 17:17 that they may be made perfect in one, that they also may be one in us, the Godhead, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me, and that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.He said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3.Don't burden yourself with doctrines of men my friend, it’s enough for you to knowthe only true God, and Jesus Chr…

Wash one another's feet!

Jesus said; "If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them" John 13:17.What things? He said, "For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you" John 13:15.What had he done?He had "rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded" John 13:4-5.This didn’t come from nowhere, but many good things he had done, and when He knew these were his seed and his fruit who would further grow his work, and "that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end" John 13:1. This he did because he cared so much for them, he loved them and could do anything for them. I recall in Chapter 17 when He prayed, He said, "Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the…

The True Vine

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me, John 15:1-4 NKJV. Jesus said I am the vine, the true vine, you are the branches, true branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. So when he does the pruning you will not be taken away.Time and again he does the pruning, taking away every branch that bears no fruit, and every branch that bears fruit He prunes or looks after it, that it may bear more fruit. Also one bears fruit and much fruit only if he abides in him. Unless we abide in Him, in the vine, in his doctrine, neither can we bear fruit, otherwise the fruit we produce would be wild grapes. He said, "for without Me…

Abide in His love

Jesus said, "abide in my love," that My joy may remain in you. In John 15:11 he says, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."How you will abide in His loveHe said, "if you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love." John 15:10.Keep His commandments and you will abide in His love.He said, "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you." John 15:12-14.Love the brotherhood in the same way he has loved his Church; be ready to lay down your life for them, and when you do this you will abide in His love and become His friends. In John 13:17 He said; "If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them."What things? He said, "For I have given…

Let not your heart be troubled!

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid, John 14:27 KJVFORGET the natural ways if you’re to receive anything from God; for it’s not by mighty nor by power anymore, but he that worship  God must worship Him in SPIRIT and TRUTH. Nicodemus asked Him, How can these things be? To worship, or receive heavenly things, one must first do truth, believe it,  got to be born again, and be born of the Spirit. Paul says, "And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." 2 Corinthians 3:4-6. This is why I say, to receive anything from God forget the natural ways; that born of the flesh is flesh, and spirit spirit.Anywa…

Let’s give the world His light.

Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness,  John 12:44-46 NKJV.Today my friend I would like to rub in that you be able to see and believe. He said, "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness."He came to give light into the world, that you may see and believe, that whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness. Darkness of your own unbelief, darkness because the prince of this world has blinded you, and darkness because when God was angry with mankind, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them" John 12:40.It’s not right that you find it hard to believe because in this journey our f…

Why are believers different?

We claim to worship the same God, but if true then why are we different? How is it that as Christians we sometimes don’t understand each other? Jesus asked those who claimed were descendants of Abraham or God was their Father that, "Why can’t you understand what I am saying?" John 8:43.He said, "I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me...," John 8:37. What makes you hate me so much that you want to kill me? "...you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this." John 8:40. Abraham would do good works, isn’t it?Ask yourself Why can't I understand? Could it be because something, someone is preventing you from doing so; from believing, loving, understanding the truth of the gospel?Jesus told them, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin..." John 8:34. Can’t you realise that from the moment you first sinned you also ceased doing Abrah…

But how could he be?

There was division of opinion, and "much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people." John 7:12. Does it sound familiar? Anyway despite people’s personal opinions, He stood up to teach in the temple, and the Jews marvelled, saying, “How is this man so learned, since he hasn’t been trained?”These were the Pharisees, Sadducees, elders and scribes.Jesus answered them, "My teaching isn't mine but is from the one who sent me. If anyone wants to do his will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own. The one who speaks on his own seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him" John 7:16-18.I know I teach, but the doctrine or teaching isn’t mine. God never send us to teach our own thoughts, or ways, this is why we quote scriptures. Myself I did a little Theology, Psychology or Phil…

Abide in My word!

Jesus went to the temple, and he sat down and began to teach for many people had gathered. Then the scribes and the Pharisees interrupted him when they brought a woman who was caught in adultery, making her stand in the center. He dealt with the issue and her accusers left, and he told his audience, "You judge by human standards. I judge no one,"John 8:15.That’s the problem with Church today; Paul says, "I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Since they are ignorant of the righteousness of God they have attempted to establish their own righteousness, but have not submitted to God's righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes," (ref; Romans 10:2-4). Anyway, Jesus continued with his plan to teach and He said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life" John 8:12.Why do a I post so much like this? It’s s…
