Today my friend I would like to rub in that you be able to see and believe. He said, "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness."
He came to give light into the world, that you may see and believe, that whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness.
Darkness of your own unbelief, darkness because the prince of this world has blinded you, and darkness because when God was angry with mankind, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them" John 12:40.
It’s not right that you find it hard to believe because in this journey our first port is believing, it’s having faith because he who comes to him must first of all believe that God is. See also that Jesus came both to serve and to do.
Jesus said, "I did not come to judge the world but to save the world." He said to the Pharisees, "You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me" John 8:15-16. So Jesus did not come to judge you, or condemn you, but he came to give light to you, to be your saviour, and that through him the whole world may be set free from spiritual darkness.
John 12:47-48 says, "And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day."
It is his word that judges though, not now, but in the last day. If anyone hears the gospel now and does not believe, He does not judge him for refusing to believe, except for one reason. In Matthew 12:31-32 He said, "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come."
Can one blasphemy against the word? Yes, Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men. But the word you’re hearing is heaping coals for you against the day of judgement. I hear Him say, "If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given" Mark 4:23-24, or will be measured back to you.
Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." John 12:35-36.
Darkness shall cover the earth, And gross darkness the people; you need this light that you may walk and not stumble, because you see the light, you’ll walk in light. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.
All of us must quickly work the works assigned us by the one who sent me, for there is little time left before the night falls and all work comes to an end. But while we’re still here in the world, let’s give the world His light.
