The bible says, "when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone" John 6:15.
Tell you what folks, Jesus’ mission wasn’t about governing a state, he didn’t even call us to be patriotic or that we should tackle so called corrupt governments otherwise Jesus would have dealt with the Romans. I hear him well saying, "Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations" Luke 16:9. It’s okay to be humanitarian, but as believers that’s not our calling too. He didn’t call us to fulfil some thinking that "he is the Prophet we have been expecting" to feed people with manna. Folks, should always know that servants of God are sent to us on God’s terms, not their expectations. We’ve two great men of God in Zimbabwe, among others; Ezekiel Guti and Andrew Wutawunashe - these serve on God’s terms, not ours. They will never conform to our wishful thinking.
Anyway the bible says "when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, "Rabbi, when did You come here?" John 6:22-25.
"Jesus answered them and said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." John 6:26-27.
It’s because of false prophets that people’s hopes are misplaced. Jesus said, These filthy dreamers, "in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" Matthew 15:9.
Why are you looking for Jesus my friend? The reason you look for him shouldn’t be to be fed, but should be because you believe in him that he’s the Messiah. He said, "you shouldn't be so concerned about perishable things like food. No, spend your energy seeking the eternal life that I, the Messiah, can give you. For God the Father has sent me for this very purpose." You my friend should be familiar with what Jesus came here both to serve and to do, unless you should labour in vain.
Then they said to Him, "What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." John 6:28-29. First, Trust him, it is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life," he said.
Then Simon Peter said, "we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God" John 6:69. Are you sure my friend, do you trust him like they did? They said we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ.
