My mother and My brothers are these!

Apostle Peter said;

"Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you" 1 Peter 1:22-25 NKJV.

You have been born again, not of corruptible seed (flesh) but incorruptible (Spirit), through the word of God -  love (the brethren,) or one another fervently with a pure heart.

Peter is declaring a new relationship in this passage, or rather he is affirming that relationship Jesus started when He said, "My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it" (Luke 8:19–21).

Our brotherly love transcends that of flesh and blood, or that of totems. Jesus says, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you" John 15:11-14.

His mother and brothers came to see him, they couldn't get into the house where he was teaching because of the crowds. They sent a word for him, but he answered; ""Who is My mother, or My brothers?" And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother."" Mark 3:33-35.

As believers, the relationship we have with each other is infinitely deeper than flesh and blood, higher than friendships, and more permanent than totems, transcending by far any blood relationship. When you say you love, let it be of a pure heart, and incorruptible, for you will be held liable for it.

Beware of wicked workers though, wolves or false brethren in sheepskin!

Paul says, "I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat." 1 Corinthians 5:9-11. He said, "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you." "My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it."

If in your love feasts, your relationships are based on flesh and blood, on totems or is sexual, then know that it is not sincere love of the brethren anymore, but corrupted.

"Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You." So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's...." Mark 10:28-29. Yes, you can lose these, but can’t afford to lose a Christian brother or christian sister.

"Then He said to another, "Follow Me." But he said, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father." Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God."" Luke 9:59-60.

 "...For My sake and the gospel's...." love the brotherhood, to the end, and wash one another’s feet - love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible.

Sit down, Martha!

The story of Martha and Mary tells us that there are two types of Christians out there; where one is a worshipper and another is a waitperson or server. You can choose what you want to be, that’s to be a worshipper or server. But listen to this before you do; " Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. "" Luke 10:38-42. Mary chose the best part, to sit down at his feet and not be worried, frustrated, confused and troubl

Why Lord why me?

Many people ask; why Lord why me? Hezekiah said, " indeed it was for my own peace That I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back ," Isaiah 38:17. Did you hear that? All things work for your good. God loves you regardless. However, that you do in the prime of your life impacts the remainder of your years, even hereafter. If you’re born again, you allow the Lord to undertake, but if you’re not born again you certainly deprive your latter years. Hezekiah had boils and was supposed to die because of them. He said, "I shall go to the gates of Sheol" and sin shall make an end of me. But when he repented, God undertook deliverance for him, he said, " What shall I say? He has both spoken to me, And He Himself has done it. I shall walk carefully all my years in the bitterness of my soul, " Isaiah 38:15 knowing that God has restored me. For this reason, he said I’ll prai

How much do people know about you?

Hezekiah answered, " They have seen all that is in my house; there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them, " Isaiah 39:4. I can hear Isaiah say, " What? " Then Hezekiah said, it doesn’t matter Isaiah, " They came to me from a far country, from Babylon ." What can they do? Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, " Hear the word of the LORD of hosts: 'Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and what your fathers have accumulated until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left,' says the LORD. 'And they shall take away some of your sons who will descend from you, whom you will beget; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon .'" Isaiah 39:5-7. How much do people know about you my friend? Everything? Then hear the word of the Lord! This reminds me of one president.
