Spirits are subject to you!

In Luke 10, Jesus sends seventy others, two by two into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.

He said to them go your way; "And heal the sick there, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.'’ Luke 10:9

They came back thrilled and excited. This is the same experience we should have when we give out the Word of God, and when we pray for the sick and heal them. How glorious we feel also when more labourers are come into His harvest!

Luke said, "the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." Luke 10:17-20.

Satan’s new home is this world my friend, with the other demons, but don’t worry my friend -  nothing shall by any means hurt you.

What a lesson for us to remember the words of Jesus, “rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”  When there is success in our ministry, always remember it’s His work, not ours.

Now, Luke 10:1 says, "the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them...

This tells you how we’ve been appointed, and called and sent; the same way; "He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases," He has done the same for you and me who believe in His name Today. He’s given us the same power to preach the kingdom of God, to heal the sick and to cast out demons. He said, Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. What he didn’t do though, is to give us authority to trample upon anyone. He said the spirits are subject to you, but not that other believers are. But spirits, and I mean all types of spirits, whether it’s the non-physical part of a person like your emotions and character; ego, mood, attitude, temperament, feelings, demonic forces, nature spirits, ethos, principles, ethics, thoughts or ideas, they’re subject to you.

God bless you

Sit down, Martha!

The story of Martha and Mary tells us that there are two types of Christians out there; where one is a worshipper and another is a waitperson or server. You can choose what you want to be, that’s to be a worshipper or server. But listen to this before you do;"Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me." And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her."" Luke 10:38-42.Mary chose the best part, to sit down at his feet and not be worried, frustrated, confused and troubled ab…

Your fellowship in the gospel

As we fellowship with each other as believers, remember that our fellowship is only in the gospel. We love the brotherhood with the affection of Jesus Christ only, nothing more.Apostle Paul says, "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God," Philippians 1:9-11.So, as you fellowship with other believers, always remember that your job as a Christian is to ensure the progress of others and joy of faith, and to defend the gospel. The Apostle says, "Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so...that you may stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel." Philippians 1:27.Be like-minded; help each other, work together with one heart, be warm-h…

Be filled with all the fullness of God

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,Ephesians 1:3.Did you know, that He chose us in Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will, and made us accepted in the Beloved? And "predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself," Ephesians 1:5. Now because we’re sons, He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. You don’t find that anywhere my friend, except in Christ. Now, my prayer for you is that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you also the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, that you may understand the mystery of His will, the mystery of Christ, that He purposed in himself to gather together in one all things in Christ, He has put all things under His feet, both which are in heaven and which are on earth, and we ourselves also have our redemption through His blood. We were gentiles,…
