Why is finding God so difficult?

God says, ‘Here I am’ My hands stretched all day long for you, but “... when I called, you did not answer; When I spoke, you did not hear, But did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight," Isaiah 65:12. He said you’ve walked in a way that is not good, i.e. according to you own thoughts. That’s why I "was found by those who did not seek Me." ‘Here I am!‘ The good thing with God is he reveals himself to you, but sadly we choose not to see, seek, listen nor to find him. To “find God” is an expression that can mean different things to different people. For some, is getting religion, whatever religion that may be. For others, to “find God” means to “clean up one’s life,” usually with his help. In any case, to “find God” involves a change in someone’s attitude and behaviour. Biblically speaking, to find God means to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus that anyone can come to God (John 14:6), and receiving Christ results in a

Why is God not listening?

Don’t look any further my friend, but look at yourself, the answer is you do as you please! God has not noticed your prayers because "your iniquities are separating you from your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not listen,” Isaiah 59:2. Iniquity could simply mean your conduct... We pretend sometimes that we want to know. James says, "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" James 2:20. But if we really care, "Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear," Isaiah 59:1. The problem sometimes is, we trust too much in empty words and lie to ourselves, but if we "conceive evil [we] bring forth iniquity," Isaiah 59:4. Our feet are good only when we run to evil, wasting and destruction. But the way of peace we’ve not known, therefore the fruit of righteousness is far from us. We look for light, but there is darkness. I don’t want you to se

Would you call this a fast?

Would you call this a FAST, And an acceptable day to the LORD? A hypocrite is a person who pretends to have certain beliefs, when in reality he/she really does not. An example is a person who fasts, but is constantly finding pleasure. Some people take delight only in approaching God; they seek him daily, as if they do righteousness, and they pretend to know God’s ways as if they did not forsake His ordinances.  Isaiah 58:2 says, "They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God," but in actual fact their hearts are far away from him. The Lord of the Sabbath was right when He said, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven,” Matthew 7:20-21 Why do we fast these day? Isaiah said, you fast for advantage; to make your voices heard. He said, “Indeed you fast for strife and debate, And to strike wi

Ho! Ho! Ho! Everyone

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? It’s because your leaders want you to do so, but " My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, " says the LORD. " For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts, " Isaiah 55:8-9. With God, salvation is free! The price was on Jesus, and 2000 years ago God accepted the offering of his blood - it was enough. God said nations " shall run to you, Because of the LORD your God, " not because for any other reason, your money, your wages nor tithing, but because of the sure mercies of David shown them. He said, " as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be... " Isaiah 55:10 - 11. Freely you received, and freely give. He

The covenant of peace

God agreed through Christ that between you and Him there be a perpetual covenant peace. You will break forth into singing, and cry aloud with joy, you who were desolate and hopeless, " for with great mercies I will gather you, " says the Lord. In Christ we’re gathered together - He is our Redeemer! He fights for us! He prospers us! " No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD, "Isaiah 54:17. He said, " So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you. For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, " Says the LORD, who has mercy on you, Isaiah 54:9-10. In His covenant (His love, His Love and His kindness) you’re safe my friend, and you have peace. Do not fear, only sing
