A man in whom is the Spirit of God!

Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” Genesis 41:38

Not all "wise men" have the spirit of God, and worse if they always strive with others. The Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with men… Genesis 6:3. You have not the spirit of God if you do.

One as this a man in whom is the Spirit of God knows how to work with others in all manner of workmanship, "in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship," Exodus 31:3. He/she is stirred up in heart and is willing to engage in the business of believers who fear God.

One as this a man in whom is the Spirit of God gives "no regard to mediums and familiar spirits," Leviticus 19:31. He/she does not seek after them, to be defiled by them.

One as this a man in whom is the Spirit of God does not mistreat others. I know how I’m also a stranger to some folks who feel opposed to me, but Leviticus 19:34 says, "The stranger who dwells among you shall be to you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God." And the verse after that says, "You shall do no injustice in judgment, in measurement of length, weight, or volume. You shall have honest scales, honest weights, an honest ephah, and an honest hin: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt," Leviticus 19:35-36.

That’s what Joseph was like, a man in whom was the Spirit of God. We likewise should have in our nostrils the same breath of the spirit of life. He must be upon you, that you also may prophesy or be that salt of the earth.

Pharaoh asked, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?” He couldn’t find any among his wise men, and also, probably our prophets and teachers have no spirit in them any longer for the reasons we all know. But today you can decide to be such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God. Judges 6:34 says, "But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him." The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you will also prophesy, and the election of grace will gather behind you too.

"Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation," Numbers 27:16.

Allow Him to set a man in whom is the spirit of God for you, a Joshua, one who may go out before you and go in before you, who may lead you out and bring you in, "that the congregation of the LORD may not be like sheep which have no shepherd," Numbers 27:17.

We need such a man, a true shepherd "that the congregation of the LORD may not be like sheep which have no shepherd."

Sheep which have no shepherd will not only do be weary, but they have not the best wool, and are wild too.

It is important that you’ve a shepherd, a pastor and bishop to whom you will be obedient, and one who shall inquire before the LORD for [you] by the judgment of the Urim. "At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in..." Numbers 27:21

It’s just not enough for you that you be a lone sheep, but belong to a congregation, to a fellowship and a gathering, and there be faithful.

Jesus is looking for lone "lost" sheep to bring them home where they’ll be part of the whole.  He said,"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep…" Matthew 18:12-13. Yes, many are straying, as it’s the tendency for sheep to go astray, probably for the good course of looking for pasture, but return "unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls," 1 Peter 2:25.

  1. Which way did the spirit from the LORD go from me to speak to you? 1 Kings 22:24

Mostly, it happens when you’re lied to that you’ve received the spirit of God when instead you have received a lying spirit. Examine yourself and see if you have the right spirit or true faith.

A lying spirit is persuasive, and it pretends to be from God; much so in the mouth of a false prophets.

It is important for believers to check whether the spirit they’ve received is a good spirit or not.

It’s work is to persuade you, but for what really? The spirit; good or bad, prevails in whatever it does. Remember, God gave you His good Spirit to instruct you into all godliness, but the evil spirit whom you should steadfastly resist, will turn and draw you further away from God. The spirit within you compels you, but what kind is it?

You have either or, you can’t have both, but for it to be the spirit of God, the word within you must be nothing but truth. Psalm 51:10 says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me." And verses 11-12 says. "Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And uphold me by Your generous Spirit."

Now, the question is, "which way did the spirit from the LORD go from me to speak to you?"

He leaves when we become a generation that do not set its heart aright, whose spirit is not faithful to God.

The spirit from the LORD will go, leaving you empty, at the mercy of jackals. He departs the moment you are overwhelmed with the things of this world. The cares of this world will secretly set a snare for you.

If an evil spirit or evil desires are not resisted, they will persecute your soul, will crush your life to the ground, and David said, "He has made me dwell in darkness, Like those who have long been dead. Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is distressed," Psalm 143:3-4. Then your spirit will fails, and you will not see/minister as you should.

Obviously, God will find another vessel in your place.

  2. The spirit is there to lift you up!

“As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with you: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words" are there to lift you up!

The spirit of the Lord is there to console you, to give you "beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified," Isaiah 61:3. He causes you to rest. That’s why the Lord says,"Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing!" Ezekiel 13:3.

But comforts you, only if you tremble at His word. Hear this, the spirit will not operate free from His word, for wherever the spirit goes the word goes also, and vis a vis. Ezekiel 1:20-21 says, "Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels. When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels." Wow, see how we are lifted up together.

He lifts you up, to a place where you see visions of God.

God says to Ezekiel, "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations," Ezekiel 36:27-30. All he is saying is I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it.

Wow, it’s beautiful and very majestic, isn’t it my friend?

  3. …because an excellent spirit was in him, Daniel 6:3.

Nebuchadnezzar said to Daniel, "Belshazzar,… I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you," Daniel 4:9. You’ve an excellent spirit.

Inasmuch as He is an excellent spirit, he is a good companion too, and because of Him knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in Daniel. Daniel wasn’t hardened in pride, nor did the spirit of God felt restricted in him as he may be in our generation where one can walk in a false spirit and prophesy lies and pretend that he is hearing from God. Zechariah told Zerubbabel, ‘“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts," Zechariah 4:6. It’s not the spirit of man, but the spirit of God, the spirit of grace that should work in us if at all you know what that means. It means take heed to your spirit whether it be from God.

The LORD said to Malachi, "Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously," Malachi 2:16. And verse 15, "…Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth," Malachi 2:15. Nowadays it is common practice to divorce, isn’t it? Even a pastor can deal treacherously with the wife of his youth, he can divorce her and marry another and the church saying nothing. But God is asking you, "Did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring…" Malachi 2:15. He is seeking the fruit of the spirit, a child of the Holy Spirit.

If you deal treacherously there won’t be any manifestation of the spirit nor the power of God in you. John the Baptist said, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.' And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God," John 1:32-34.

He is the same Spirit those believing in him should receive - one who is different from other spirits, different from unclean spirits, evil spirits and spirits of men.

An excellent spirit has to descend upon you my friend, and remain. The Holy Spirit is given to those who obey him. By him and through him alone you will be able to cast out demons or do the works of God. The church prospers, is edified when it walks "in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit," Acts 9:31.

The Bible says, "Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And a great many people were added to the Lord," Acts 11:22-24. Isn’t that tremendous?

Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, you will know that it’s him.

Jesus is Rejected at Nazareth!

Then Jesus left the wilderness of Judea, where Satan tempted him for forty days, and " returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. " Luke 4:14-16 NKJV. Before, full of the Holy Spirit, he spent forty days in the wilderness being tempted by the devil, and now he returns to Galilee, in the power of the Spirit to begin his ministry. He taught in other synagogues, being glorified by all, but here in Nazareth, where He was brought up, is rejected. They handed to him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: " The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To

Who are you really working for?

I’m here to help you figure out who you’re really working for, because if you know you will provide great service for him/her, or them, no matter what you do, you need to know who they are and what they’re looking for. Someone is saying I am working for God, but that could be a blanket statement my friend because working for God means feeding His lambs, and is how you offer His sheep the best service possible. For some of us it is more clear cut than for others. I can’t tell you who you are working for, it would be wrong to assume that you’re serving God, men or yourself, etc, but I can help you identify who you’re really working for, and how you can do it with all of your heart if you find it well. Why we serve! We serve God for different reasons, but the work of the Lord couldn’t be same as the work of men or of the world. His is light, with no darkness at all - pure religion! The angel said to the church in Thyatira, “‘ These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of

The Wedding at Cana

This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him, John 2:11 KJV. The first time Jesus performed a miracle (revealed his glory) was at a wedding in Cana. Jesus' mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration. Wine ran out, and Jesus' mother told him, " They have no more wine ." She went to him anticipating a miracle, and Jesus said, " Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come " John 2:4. But she tells the servants anyway, " Whatever He says to you, do it ."  This you should also know my friend, tell him your need anyway, and " Do whatever he tells you ." But be fully aware of the divine timing also. The timing by which waters are stirred up or the spirit moves is set by the Father. Jesus said to them, " Fill the waterpots with water. " And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, " Dr
