He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us please God

The Holy Spirit was given for our good.

He gave us the Holy Spirit to set a seal on us, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God," Romans 8:14. I love verse 16-17, it says, "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

How do you suffer with him? Remember my friend, that the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, fear God and be spiritually minded; serve God according to the spirit of holiness, according to the righteousness requirement of the law, walking in the spirit and in newness of life. "Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body," Romans 8:23. Be fervent in spirit, "For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men,” Romans 14:18.

He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us please God, to help us pray, and that we may be established in the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, and so that we may serve God in newness of life, not in the oldness of the letter.

The writer to the Romans says,

"The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit," Romans 8:2-4.

Those who live according to the Spirit condemn sin also wherever it appears, they set their minds on the things of the Spirit, and their aim is to please God, and abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

He gave us the Holy Spirit, who is busy now ministering to the Churches, and giving gifts to men.  We have not the spirit of Christ if we are found to be always causing divisions in churches. "No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit," 1 John 4:12-13. It is very unspiritual for a believer to journey while divorced from the local assembly.

If you read well, in the book of Revelation, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Lord Almighty, when He rebuked the dead church, the loveless church, the corrupt church, the lukewarm and compromising church, He never said leave church, do not go to it. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches," Revelation 3:22. He who teaches to act otherwise has the spirit of error.

John concludes, "We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error," 1 John 4:6.

Paul says, "Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them," Romans 16:17.

  1. The Holy Spirit explicitly and unmistakably speaks!

The Holy Spirit is saying "Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial…" but be faithful.

The Holy Spirit helps you in your every day life, in that taking place, made, or done in the course of days. He is in charge of day to day operations, and providing for a day at a time with little thought for the past or future.

He says, "Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God," Hebrews 3:12. While it’s said today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion. And the Lord said, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof," Matthew 6:34. I hear him say, "do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say," Luke 12:11-12.

The Holy Spirit is not just hovering around past experiences of the church, but He is moving and speaking to us now.

With that understanding, you will not turn to witchcraft, mediums, or sorcerers, to familiar spirits, spiritist, soothsayers or diviners to prostitute yourself with them if you know that the Holy Spirit is alive and active among you now.

He was sent out into all the earth that he who has an ear, should "hear what the Spirit says to the churches," Revelation 3:13. And the Apostle John said, "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet," Revelation 1:10. I also remember the first time I heard it, we were in the house group - it was loud and clear though some didn’t hear what I heard.

When the spirit speaks, He witnesses to us; indicating and bearing witness to the work of the cross, he confesses and testifies of Jesus, both that he came to do and to serve.

The Holy Spirit is speaking to you even today, ministering to you with various miracles, signs and wonders and other gifts, to you who will inherit salvation.

Now listen to this, "because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle," 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15.

Keep the faith, in love, in word, in conduct, in purity, be examples to the believers, and beware of deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Beware of false prophets “for they are spirits of demons, performing signs," Revelation 16:14. Yes, says the Spirit. The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously. Beware of those who insult the spirit of grace. He warns, "that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron," 1 Timothy 4:1-2. Test all things, but be careful my friend, that what ever you do, in your zeal that you do not quench nor resist the spirit.

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit, 1 Thessalonians 4:8. My friend, find out more for yourself too, what the spirit is saying to the churches, that your conduct in this journey may be worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Grant, O Lord, thy protection!

Reverend LC Muzembi May the Lord keep you safe. May he  shelter, cover, shield and defend you from harm all through your life. May you visibly see that he is doing so, not hearsay. Don’t even guess, but know for children who are under the protection of their parents don't even guess, but they know that their parents are keeping them safe. " If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? " How Luke 11:13. He's already given you the Holy spirit. " How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? " Hebrews 9:14. There's protection for you in the blood of Jesus. " If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little fait

Is the day of Christ at hand?

Jesus is coming back soon, but before Christ is come, a falling away is first. "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition" 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2. It is obvious that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon, and that we all shall be gathered together to him, but he shall come on a day we not aware of. May the Lord please direct your heart "into the love of God, and into the patiently waiting for Christ." Waiting doesn’t mean you should stop your day to day work. Paul said, "Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that

Experience God's peace!

Reverend LC Muzembi  "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things" Philippians 4:8 KJV Yes my friend, stay true to the Lord, remember he is coming soon. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, and it’s peace which will keep you through this journey.  The Lord said, " Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you " John 14:27. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. And the Apostle said, " Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you " Philippians 4:9. In short, read your bible, study it through, receive its truths with open heart or the hearing of faith, acknowledge
