The priesthood

When we talk about the priesthood, first, we’ve got to know of the change that took place, that the old was done away with so he could establish the new.

The old priesthood required that priests should only belong to the tribe of Levi but Christ came not belonging to Levi but was from the tribe of Judah. For not to confuse us God removed the levitical priesthood and all it's requirements. I said all it's requirements, to include "also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary" (Heb 9:1). All were done away with.

There is no way you can understand the new priesthood from the old; whether it's about sacrifices and/or serving God. "Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation." Hebre…

THE WRITTEN BOOKS

John says in Revelation 10:1-4, "And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not."

New Testament writers would have liked to write more, but the Holy Spirit would not let them, why? They were led to write only certain things.

In the scripture, John wanted to write down the message of the seven thunders, but was told not to do so. The writer of the letter to the Hebrews wanted to write about Melchisedec, Hebrews 5:11, but was he…

The First Resurrection

"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." Revelation 20:6

Who will take part?

I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus, for proclaiming the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the Creature or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They had come to life again and now they reigned with Christ for a thousand years, vs 4these had also been given the right to judge, vs 4
 "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." Revelation 20:5-6

Just about the same time Satan is also bound for 1000 …

KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war." Revelation 19:11

Is  none other than Christ himself; "His name is called The Word of God." (vs 13).

"...the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" vs 10. Know this;  Jesus Christ is the purpose for or of all prophecy. "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell..." Colossians 1:16-19

The fall of Babylon

"Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore. And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.” Revelation 18:21,24

We witness two things;

1. The finality of Babylon’s Fall, and
2. God avenging the blood of martyrs on her!

Babylon is fallen because like Sodom and Gomorra the city had become "a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!" vs 2.

all the nations of the earth had  drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, vs 3the kings of the earth had committed fornication with her, andthe merchants of the earth had also become rich through the abundance of her luxury.
Like Lot, the people of God had to walk away from her so that God would punish her; "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, a…

Who will worship this Beast?

Two things will happen first before that great day of the Lord comes;

there will be a time of falling away, (a great rebellion against God) and the man of sin, the son of perdition, that Wicked One whose coming is after the working of Satan will also be revealed.
In 2 Thessalonians 2 we hear that he;

will defy everything about God and tear down every object of adoration and worship, vs 4will go in and sit as God in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God, vs 4will come as Satan’s tool, with all power and signs and lying wonders, vs 9will completely fool those who are on their way to hell because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved, vs 10
Those who shall be fooled; God will let them believe lies with all their hearts, and all of them will justly be judged for believing falsehood, refusing the Truth, and enjoying their sins vs 11-12

Now let's turn to Revelation 13;

The Beast from the Sea

The Vial Judgments

"And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Revelation 15:1,6-7; 16:1

First Vial: Loathsome Sores

"And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image." Revelation 16:2

The first vial is poured out on the earth.
Second Vial: The Sea Turns to Blood

"And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it b…
