He knows deceitful men

"For He knows deceitful men; He sees wickedness also. Will He not then consider it?" Job 11:11 Deceitful men are they who say God has called them when He has not. These speak wickedly for God regardless of what they say which sometimes is true, for they secretly show partiality for Him. Their womb prepares oppression and deceit, or simply speaking they walk in falsehood. Deceit comes from within their spirit. Jesus said, "Hear and understand: Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man," Matthew 15:10-11, and verse 19 says, “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” You want to thrive in the things of God?  David says, then “Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it,” Psalm 34:13-14.  Depart from evil, from deceit, deception or misrepresentation. It’s not good for

Receive the promise of the Spirit

It is God who supplies the Spirit to you, and you receive the promise of the Spirit through faith, Galatians 3:14. You receive the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord who has redeemed us that this blessing may also come upon you. The Holy Spirit has already been poured out into the world. Peter said, "Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear," Acts 2:33. So He already has been poured out as a drink, and now is the right time for you to receive him.  Who receives the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit was poured out, or sent from heaven to be received by you and me who believe in the gospel of Christ and us who want to worship God in the spirit of Jesus Christ. The Father Himself promised and He has already given us His Holy Spirit. How do you receive Him? Since the Holy Spirit has already been poured out from heaven. He is meanwhile hovering arou

He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us please God

The Holy Spirit was given for our good. He gave us the Holy Spirit to set a seal on us, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God," Romans 8:14. I love verse 16-17, it says, "The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs-heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.  How do you suffer with him? Remember my friend, that the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Therefore, fear God and be spiritually minded; serve God according to the spirit of holiness, according to the righteousness requirement of the law, walking in the spirit and in newness of life. "Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body," Romans 8:23. Be fervent in spir

A man in whom is the Spirit of God!

“ Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God? ” Genesis 41:38 Not all "wise men" have the spirit of God, and worse if they always strive with others. The Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with men… Genesis 6:3. You have not the spirit of God if you do. One as this a man in whom is the Spirit of God knows how to work with others in all manner of workmanship, " in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship ," Exodus 31:3. He/she is stirred up in heart and is willing to engage in the business of believers who fear God. One as this a man in whom is the Spirit of God gives " no regard to mediums and familiar spirits ," Leviticus 19:31. He/she does not seek after them, to be defiled by them.  One as this a man in whom is the Spirit of God does not mistreat others. I know how I’m also a stranger to some folks who feel opposed to me, but Leviticus 19:34 says, " The stranger who dwells among you

Questionable circumstances are a red flag

Stay away from a preacher who never takes time off even if ill/old, who insists on dealing with certain people - that’s a red flag!  Questionable circumstances are a red flag believers have to look out for. Here is how the gospel works; you’re told the news first and then you relay it to others. Never claim ownership of it, instead pass it on, share and never enforce it upon a generation. Treating it as if it is yours is corruption or abuse of the delegated powers. Remember Rome was not built in one day, meaning the gospel is a complex task, it takes all our efforts, and great achievement takes time and effort and should not be rushed. So you pass it own to show that you have understood the gospel. No generation claims supremacy, the fathers passed it own to their sons (kings), prophets to other prophets too, and to Jesus, and Jesus to the apostles (Holy Ghost), and the apostles to us and so forth. I like how John puts it, he said, "I baptize with water: but there standeth one a

Payback time!

What would happen when  the Lamb opens the seven seals, and the seven angels sound the seven trumpets?  When He comes back, it’s payback time, a time for punishment for unbelievers, and reward for you who believe. "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this," Revelation 4:1 A throne is set in heaven, and One who sits on the throne, lives forever and ever, and in the right hand of Him is a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. In the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb, He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. He was the only one worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for he was slain, and have redeemed us to God by his blood. He opened the seven seals; the first, “and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer," Revelation 6:2. He opened the second seal, and behold “another horse, fiery re

Two great signs!

Two great signs appeared in heaven portraying what had happened, what is happening, and is going to happen; The first sign was of a woman "being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth," Revelation 12:2. The second, was of a dragon who stood before the woman "ready to devour her Child as soon as it was born,"Revelation 12:4.  Concurrently, there was war in heaven and Satan was thrown out of heaven, and "His tail drew a third of the stars [angels] of heaven and threw them to the earth," Revelation 12:4.  No place found was found for them in heaven any longer, "so the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him," Revelation 12:9.  The apostle then wrote, "Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, hav
